A quick follow-up on the Gatorade G-Series...

Over the last month or so, I have seen more Gatorade G-Series commercials during major sporting events (i.e. NBA Playoffs, NBA Finals, etc.) that actually offer a simpler, more concise look at what each of the three elements offer potential users.

It would be interesting to see their 2011 sales figures and compare them to 2010. I think "G" can gain some traction through the simplified presentation/approach the company is now taking. Let's see what happens!

Do you do sponsorships? Or part there of?

I’m the General Secretary for the World Muay Thai Council NZ, we are currently looking for sponsorship in many ways to help get a team of fighters that will represent NZ in the World Championships held in Uzbekistan September 2011.

Sponsorships currently seeking

Tracksuit combo’s (Bag, polo, track pants, track jacket and shorts)

- The tracksuits would need to be cool (weather is very hot) durable and will have the NZ logo as well as your advertising space.

Flights and transfers

- Auckland to Korea, transfer and one nights accommodation in Seoul. Korea to Uzbekistan and vice versa

Accommodation

- One night in Korea/Seoul, 8 nights stay Tashkent, Uzbekistan, upon return one nights stay Korea/Seoul.

In appreciation of your support, we will advertise your company on the world stage for the entire time that we are traveling, competing and congregating with other countries. Upon our return we will gift you with a framed photo of the team, officials and council members as well as a personalized thank you card from the fighters.

If this sounds like something that you can assist us with, please let me know. We would also appreciate it if you can point us to other Companies that you may know of that will be able to assist us as well.

For further info please feel free to contact us.

Regards,

Dear Peter,

Thank you for your feedback.

What will be - to a degree - even more interesting to see is how the owners will work out all of the issues revolving around profit sharing between teams. It is terrible for the fans, as usual, when there is a labor dispute in popular sports. Hopefully, they will remain infrequent in the NFL, which has experienced very few work stoppages in its history. My prediction is that the dispute between players and owners will be resolved before the owners themselves agree on a profit sharing scheme that all deem satisfactory enough to approve. I could be wrong, but when one considers the information provided by popular media and some researchers, chances are that the CBA will not be finalized before the 3 March deadline. It's a tough situation.

Hmmm... I hope I'm wrong. I can't wait to see Dallas make its next push for the Super Bowl.

Besides, the period between seasons always feels like a long winter.

Cheers,

Cam.
